Phytostandard® Vigne Rouge

• Each plant can contain up to 250 compounds in its cells. All of these compounds form the totality of the plant. The extraction process is a key factor in preserving all the plant compounds. 
For the red vine extracts, we have selected the parts of the plant that are richest in compounds: the leaves of the red vine (Vitis vinifera L.) have been used to make the food supplement Phytostandard® Vigne Rouge capsules.
• How are the red vine extracts for this Phytostandard® selected?
Although we know the vine for its fruit and the wine it produces, it is its leaves ("dyer" variety only) that are of interest in phytonutrition. It grows in mild and temperate climates, particularly in Mediterranean regions. In agreement with the Ardèche winegrowers who have finished harvesting, we select the reddened leaves after the first frosts. These leaves, which are much sought-after and sometimes even stolen at night, are the richest in compounds. This harvest is fastidious because the time to carry out the harvest is short and the selection of the leaves according to their colouring is meticulous. Added to this is the fact that the reddened leaves tend to fly away if they are not picked on time!
Red Vine leaves are frozen after harvesting to preserve the compounds. They are then crushed and extracted using the Phytostandard® process, which is recognised for its respect for the integrity of the plant's compounds. The resulting red vine extract is alcohol-free. It is then freeze-dried, i.e. cold dehydrated to be put into a vegetarian capsule. The manufacturing process, from the extraction of Phytostandard® to the capsule filling, is carried out in France, which allows the traceability of the products from their production to their distribution.
